The City of Kirkland Parks and Community Services Department is seeking community feedback on color options for new synthetic turf infields planned at Crestwoods Park Field #4 and 132nd Square Park.
Construction of the new synthetic turf infield at Crestwoods Park Field #4 is anticipated to be completed Spring 2027. The City is also completing design and permitting for a future synthetic turf infield at 132nd Square Park so that the project will be ready to move forward when construction funding becomes available.
The City has identified three color schemes for consideration. All three use standard synthetic turf colors, which means the selected option is not expected to add cost or delay construction.
Each option uses a lighter brown/tan color for the primary infield area rather than a darker brown. This is intended to help reduce heat absorption and surface temperatures while still providing the appearance and field markings needed for baseball and softball play.

This survey should take approximately 2 minutes to complete and will remain open for two weeks. Feedback will be shared with City staff and considered as the final turf colors are selected.
